If you've ever heard Phil Vassar's "Just Another Day In Paradise" song, that sums our life up here! Its Mozambique--its a third world country; nothing goes as planned, the boxed milk sours, electrical appliances never work... But it is Paradise and we love it!

"Its just another day in paradise. Well, there's no place that I'd rather be. Well, its two hearts and one dream, I wouldn't trade it for anything. And I ask the Lord everynight, for just another day in paradise!" (Phil Vassar)

Arrived!...Not Settled, But Enjoying Every Second Of It!

As soon as Bekki graduated, we headed to Pemba!

Our house is still under construction so we've been staying at the Pemba Beach Hotel for the past two weeks. Here are a few pictures of our house, pardon the mess =)
-------------
This is the front of the house, we have mango, cashew, guava, and coconut trees. The kitchen faces the front.
---------------
This is the back of the house. There's an outdoor gazebo to the left. The house is a 2 bedroom (and two office-sized rooms) three bathroom home. The balcony upstairs is the master bedroom and below that is the living room. I'm picturing hammocks in my near future! =)
---------------
The back of the house from the beach walkway.
------------

View from our soon-to-be volleyball court. There is a ledge on the other side of this wall where we can put an umbrella and lounge chairs.

Our beach!
--------------

We're currently waiting for all the air conditioners and appliances to be installed as well as all the work that needs to be done outside, mainly finishing the walls and gates. We've told them we have to be in by the 13th of June but...it's Africa, so you just never know. The house looked more finished two weeks ago than it does now, as strange as that sounds!
As of yesterday, we moved out of the hotel and into an apartment, pictures to come soon.
